Privacy Policy

How DEBUNK handles account details, submitted social URLs, generated outputs, providers, and privacy requests.

Effective date: May 15, 2026

Controller and contact

DEBUNK is operated by Alessandro Pettenuzzo, Via Orti, 4, 6900 Lugano, Ticino, Switzerland.

For privacy questions, access requests, or deletion requests, contact info@ohmm.dev or use the account page when signed in.

Data we collect

The personal data collected directly from users is currently the email address used for account access and the social media URL submitted for debunking.

The service also creates generated text and video outputs, technical logs, authentication state, subscription state, and service metadata needed to operate DEBUNK.

Because debunks are public like the source social content, generated outputs may remain publicly accessible unless removed through account tools, moderation, or a valid deletion request.

How we use data

We use account data to authenticate users, provide the account page, manage subscription access, prevent abuse, and respond to support or privacy requests.

We use submitted URLs and generated service metadata to produce, display, improve, and protect debunk and fact-checking outputs.

We use payment and entitlement data to provide DEBUNK Pro access across web and mobile purchase channels.

Providers

DEBUNK uses Stripe, RevenueCat, Firebase, and OpenAI to provide payments, subscriptions, authentication, infrastructure, analytics, entitlement checks, and AI-assisted generation.

These providers process data under their own security, retention, and compliance practices. Their systems may process data in countries outside your country of residence.

Firebase is used for authentication, application infrastructure, and analytics.

Retention

DEBUNK does not intentionally keep separate personal datasets beyond what is needed to run accounts, subscriptions, public debunks, security, support, and legal compliance.

Some retention periods depend on the relevant provider, including Firebase, Stripe, RevenueCat, and OpenAI.

Public debunk outputs may remain available for as long as the service publishes them, unless deletion, moderation, legal, or operational reasons require removal.

Your choices and rights

You can manage or delete your account from the account page where available.

You can contact info@ohmm.dev to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection where those rights apply under your local law.

We may need to keep limited information when required for security, legal compliance, dispute handling, payment records, or abuse prevention.

International availability

DEBUNK is available worldwide. By using the service, you understand that data may be processed in Switzerland, the European Union, the United States, or other countries where DEBUNK providers operate.

When mandatory privacy laws apply to you, DEBUNK will handle requests under those laws to the extent they apply to the service.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as DEBUNK changes. The effective date shows when this page was last materially updated.
